Step into the ultra-boutique world of Dumble style amplifiers. Using knowledge gained from having real Dumble amplifiers in our shop, the Bombshell Overdrive is our iteration of the Overdrive Special; a three preamp tube, two channel amp equipped with preamp boost on both channels. Its cascaded gain-stage and excellent master volume allow flexibility with all volume levels and many different flavors of overdrive.
We designed this amp to be remarkably easy to dial in and be abundant with Dumble attributes. The Bombshell is harmonically rich and has the most beautiful cleans with a smooth high-gain overdrive just a click of the footswitch away. Most of our Bombshell amps have the Robben Ford style “High Plate Skyliner” preamp, but we are also fond of the “Low Plate Classic” preamp which lends more favoritism to single coil pickups. We are building them in 22w, 50w, and 100w in a custom powdercoated aluminum chassis, with choice of tolex and suede cabinetry.
The amp comes with a heavy duty AC power cord, two button footswitch (channel/boost) and also a custom locking DIN footswitch cable.

I just received my 22W Bombshell Overdrive combo from Taylor at Amplified Nation. It is incredibly beautiful (medium blue suede and diamond cloth) and built like a tank. But, honestly, I am so completely blown away by how incredible sounding this amp is! After going through a bunch of settings, I have really spent my first few hours with the amp digging into its incredible clean channel. Honestly, may be the best amp I have ever played. Just played my Cunetto strat and a Trussart tele through the clean channel set at bright, rock, with the mid off, at 7.5 with a digitech delay through the loop. Just the most incredible tones!
And, I will tell you that Taylor was a complete pleasure to deal with. He is very responsive (like this amp, LOL) and super knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend anybody who is a fan of Dumble and Fender amps (who isn’t?) to check out Amplified Nation Amps – I’m sure you’ll have a similar reaction.

After a long time researching on a Dumble style amp I decided to go for a Bombshell Overdrive with a 1 x 12 cabinet, where I put an EVM 12-L into. And this was a great decision. This is a tone monster, which brings out every nuance of any guitar I plug into it and of course it brings out all the details of your playing technique. This amp is super fast, super sensitive, it seems like it already knows what you gonna play next. The notes jump out instantly, into your face – this amp sounds and as well feels like no other amp I played before, fascinating, beyond words.
It also takes pedals great, the effects loop works great – if you use great pedals, for it is a passive loop. Most fascinating: if you turn up the master volume it gets louder while the sound stays the same, so there is no need to readjust everything after adjusting the master volume.
This amp makes me play a lot more hours per day than I usually have got time to spend. It has exceeded all of my expectations and I can‘t wait using it for gigging.
